I am lowly VA Silver, but do have Aeroplan 50K via the HSBC card. I know that I can get Lounge access with that, but I can't figure out for certain whether I can also access the BNE Premium Entry. I have booked my ticket with my Velocity FF number attached (not my Aeroplan). Will showing my Aeroplan 50K card allow me to use the Premium Entry?

Yes not an issue, BNE premium entry is open 5am-10am Mon-Fri and as noted on the Virgin website partner airline guests are welcome. Obviously with the VA number attached you’ll need to approach the staff at the desk and show the AC card for entry.

For reference, the AC website says the following
As an Aeroplan 50K, 75K or Super Elite Member, you can access Virgin Australia lounges when flying on Virgin Australia.
The VA website says the following (my bold):
Brisbane Lounge Premium Entry is available exclusively to Virgin Australia Beyond, Business Class guests, Velocity Platinum and Gold members, partner airline reciprocal status members and Lifetime lounge members travelling with carry-on baggage only

Just replying to advise that @henrus was spot-on. There was a kiosk that everyone was scanning their electronic boarding passes at; I scanned mine too but it told me to see the person at the desk. I showed that person my AC card, scanned my boarding pass again at a device at the desk, and was then let in.
