Not to throw a spanner in the works but... it could well be a 72E (one of the SVx series) though, which would mean a step backwards for IFE as these birds have the older IFE even if the seats are newer in J.

Feeling a bit of heat from EK (380), EY (787) and CX (fantastic 330 J) products?

I take it this will mean another F product ex BNE, or am I missing something?

Might be hard to get F saver awards once the 77W fleet is reduced to a 4 seat F cabin, but hopefully they will run the 8 seaters for a while and we get some decent availability.

Hooray! I need to get BNE to CEB next July . Maybe I can now skip the BNE-SYD leg in order to get a good sleep..

Now we have to decide, which pair of flights we hope to get lie-flat seats.

SQ246 Depart BNE 11:45pm...sleep to Singapore (SQ245 Daytime SIN 09:40 SIN-BNE)

SQ235 Depart SIN 9:45pm ....sleep to Brisbane (SQ 256 Daytime BNE 9:10 back to SIN)

SQ255 Depart SIN 0:45am ...sleep to Brisbane (SQ236 Afternoon BNE 14:30 back to SIN)

Personally, for me, I sleep better on the way home. I'm usually carried through on the outward leg by the intensity of the planned activity, whereas on the way home I collapse into a slumber. My current preference is in bold. My second would allow for a nice afternoon nap on the way out.

For HEG wanting to get to CEB I've done SQ246 connect to the MI flights and it goes well. Still though by the time of getting from CEB to the city, hotel etc, the first day is a write off anyway. Try and choose your days so that you get the direct SIN-CEB leg and the direct CEB-SIN leg instead of the alternate days when the flights go via Boracay or Davao.

Enjoy

Yep -we've hit lucky with dates and got direct SIN-CEB-SIN. We arrive the day before our boat leaves too, so have around 18 hours to recover in a local hotel. I'm hoping the SQ 246 BNE-SIN will be lie flat by then. Just got a note to say it is rescheduled from 23-35 to 22-35pm...

Good news, considering SQ J ex BNE can be also booked via LM (only the night flight tho).

I'm also booking a redemption to SIN in July. Was going to drop down to SYD to catch the 77W but might just book straight from BNE and hope we catch the intro of the flat beds. Looks like it's SQ236 for me, so if you guys are going SQ246 then hopefully one of us gets the lie-flat!

Such good news. With better Qantas flights BNE-SIN becoming more common, they really have to do this to keep up. Fingers crossed they are here for our trip in July :)

Just looked for my flights in April - still A330
