BNE to LAX July -

I need to get to LAX from BNE, as cheaply as possible on the first or second of July to an engagement.
I would only be there for a few days , hopefully returning on or about July 7 or 8.
I know this is the US Summer and 4th July.
Preferably direct or one brief lay over in AKL, or HNL if I can find a fare under $2,000. While I have many QF and Virgin Points, there doesn't appear to be any flights available to pay with points and cash for those dates.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

Having specific dates, close to a USA holiday, makes it a tad harder.
Look at FJ.

Google Flights would have been my suggestion, too. This is what it shows right now. The cheapest time during those days would be to depart on Fri 28/6 and adjust the trip duration to suit your need.
