Boarding soon, Retro Roo. Destination, Longreach!

To be honest I'm little disappointed by this - it makes the return flight 3.45hrs long on what sounds like a full 737 and cuts the time in Longreach down 1 hour to the same length of the return flight (hopefully this is enough time to see the museum?) I'm sure it all works out well in the end however.

You need to look at this flight in the spirit it was intended... To benefit a charity. You were never going to get enough time to see all of he museum, nor were you going to do wing walks (that the museum is famous for). But if your appetite is whet by the experience then you'll love the LRE Do planned for next year that provides more than enough time to do everything.

With shorts and cap - go Rangus!

The entertainment quotient on the trip just went up an order of magnitude ;):).

Red Roo - given the expected temperature is going to be 37 degrees in Longreach, can you find out if any 'slack' will be given to people entering the lounge for the breakfast? With the forecast, a lot of people (particularly the men) will be wearing shorts and probably T shirts, rather than collared ones. Obviously this causes a problem when gaining access to the lounge for the breakfast based on the current standards.

It might be an idea to post what the dress regulations are for the lounge because many people like myself never access the lounge and it would be a PR disaster if people were turned away because they were dressing for the occasion (either for the weather or the fancy dress which has been encouraged.............). Thanks

The dress code will be slight expanded to include 70’s dress theme for the occasion, but please note the footwear requirements will remain.

I'm assuming the dress code is optional ... the chances of obtaining 70's fashions between now and then are not good!!

I'd say it is. Much easier to dress up if you're female, The shops are chock full of '70s fashion right now :)
I'd better be, it's going to be 30+ on the day in Longreach, I'll be wearing shorts and a very light short sleeve shirt or I'll die of a heat stroke

The heat won't be your enemy at Lre...the flies will!!

Re: URGENT - Two tickets available - selling at cost and I will cover name change fee

Hi all

I unfortunately will not be able to attend this Saturday for the Destination Longreach event.
As a matter of urgency, I have two tickets available. I will sell these for the cost of the tickets and I will cover the name change and will not make any profit from this.
This post has been cleared by the admins.

If you know anyone who would like to go please PM asap. I will only sell the tickets in a pair.

Thank you
MrCents

I know someone who was looking for tickets for this. I don't know if they still are but I've sent them a link to your post.

I will take them.

This iPhone app is really playing up. I have sent a PM from my notebook. Hope you got it.

Thanks all for the support - the tickets have now been (reluctantly) sold.
Have fun everyone attending!

Really looking forward to this. We are also booked for LRE Do in April next year, so will be able to relax more on this trip and not try to 'fit everything in'
