I finally decided to join this forum because my mum has been a member for a while now and keeps telling me things about cheap flights and how to get FF points and stuff. She has joined me up to USDM and Lifemiles and I am also a Qantas bronze member and Velocity Red member. I've already enjoyed the benefits of this forum having got cheap Tiger and Jetstar price beat flights and travelled with mum in business class on a status run and enjoyed the Virgin lounge.
We are heading off to Europe for the first time in September via USDM in first class on TG and I am sooooo looking forward to it.
I am 22 and have travelled to the US twice and lived there for 4 months completing my uni degree there last year. I have also travelled to Thailand, Bali and New Zealand and often fly to the Sunshine Coast to visit my dad, who lives in Noosa. I am happy to do the domestic flights on the cheapest fares with whichever carrier gets me there, but internationally on long haul flights, do not fly well in economy, my last 3 flights to the US were with Virgin in PE and I did 1 business class flight from Miami to LA, which I really enjoyed. I definitely don't want to fly long haul economy again if I can avoid it and mum trusts you guys to "look after me in the event of ...."
I am happy to help anyone seeking advice regarding travelling to the US on a student visa and will contribute where I can.
