Bonus Points Crediting Question

Hi

Just a quick question - just received a platinum velocity amex. do the bonus points generally appear in the account after either (a) the minimum $500 spend (b) with the statement cycle or (c) at the end of 3 months (as in $500 spend within 3 months)?

I got mine on the statement cycle I reached the $500 spend.
