It certainly seems that way doesn't it... I haven't been credited my other flight since the upgarde but it's looking like a pattern.. Would be a great start to the changes if correct..

Interesting. My flight last Thursday was at 50%, my flight on Monday was at 75%.

Happy days indeed....just as long as you don't need more points to redeem flights and awards! But that's just my cynical side showing

It doesn't appear so. FX, SYD-LAX in biz is still around 94k one way. I'll have to play around with a few other routes..

While some of you picked up on the bonus points awarded over the weekend, no one thought that this would be a new added benefit of the new program??

We can confirm that we’ve increased the percentage of Points that our Silver, Gold and Platinum Velocity members earn when booking not only with the Virgin Australia group of airlines but also with selected Velocity Travel Partners including Hertz, Europcar, Thrifty, Hotelclub, Allianz Global Assistance, Airport Parking, Brunel Limousines, Blue Holidays and Cruisepilot.

Points bonuses are as follows:

• Silver - 50% bonus
• Gold - 75% bonus
• Platinum - 100% bonus

Note:
1. When members book a flight with Virgin Australia (domestic) they will earn their Points bonus on the base Points earned.
2. When booking with Pacific Blue, Poly Blue and V Australia, members receive a Points bonus on miles flown.
3. When booking with Travel Partners, bonus is on the base Points earned.
