Bonus United Miles - Up to 100%

There's another 100% bonus on ATM (might be targeted?). Gives return F to Europe for AUD5765 plus taxes. Lufthansa is the prize here, although you have to play the 14-day-before-departure waiting game.

There's another 100% bonus offer on now until 26 July. Not sure if it's targeted so check your account to see if you got it.

Buy miles and get up to 100% bonus miles with your purchase for a limited time.

Buy 5,000 - 14,000 miles | Get a 30% bonus
Buy 15,000 - 29,000 miles | Get a 70% bonus
Buy 30,000 - 75,000 miles | Get a 100% bonus

There are also reported problems with this... showing credit card errors (widespread apparently). It might be a case of having to call Mileage Plus to do the transaction manually, depending on your circumstances.

Another new promo announced today; expires 6 September.

Get the miles you need for that last minute summer vacation: For a limited time, you'll get up to 100% bonus miles when you buy miles.

Buy 5,000 - 14,000 miles | Get a 30% bonus
Buy 15,000 - 29,000 miles | Get a 70% bonus
Buy 30,000 - 44,000 miles | Get a 85% bonus
Buy 45,000 - 75,000 miles | Get a 100% bonus

Haven't seen 100% bonus for a while. Even at 85% bonus, it's not worth it given the currently terrible exchange rate with the USD. If they want people to bite, they're gonna have to offer the 100% at the very least!

And also to reiterate the warning about UA going to dynamic pricing. Make double sure any planned routes still have reasonable 'saver' availability.

Looking at AU-USA for the next couple of months the 'cheapest' UA metal is almost exclusively the 'standard' rate of 200K one way. Air Canada has some dates for 90K.

100% bonus miles is on again until 27 November 2020 for purchases of 35,000+ United miles.

I don't see any reason to buy right now, but at least United miles don't expire any more.

On the flip side, I've seen "Business Everyday Award" point rates lower than "Business Saver Award" rates on some routes.
SYD-BKK for example.

I know right! Very strange. BKK is one of my regular redemptions and I noticed this last year. Dunno why. Interesting that UA also had plenty of SQ availability.

But the cost is an issue... maxing out the current bonus gives a cost of USD 1.75c per mile per onemileatatime. Return business class to BKK ex AU is USD1750 before taxes, or around AUD2430. Lifemiles currently 1.1c per mile, for a roundtrip of USD990 or AUD1375.

This thread's been pretty quiet lately, but these offers are still coming. Has everyone switched to Aeroplan now? 😛

Current UA offer is on until 26 July. I'm seeing 100% bonus miles on purchases over 40,000 miles. (50% bonus when buying at least 5,000 miles and 70% bonus for 20,000+ miles.) Your offer may vary.

unfortunately ive been waiting for 100% for quite some time but only got 50% on my account :-(

for example buy 60k + and get 50% off = $1050
been so long that ive purchased miles :)

This is actually better than my offer.

For USD1,050 (plus tax) I could buy 30,000 miles and get 21,000 bonus miles (with the 70% bonus applying to purchases between 20-39k miles). Whereas you spend USD1,050 (plus tax) and get 60,000 miles ;)
