Bonza Airline Discussion

I like the design, stands out like dogs balls....very unlikely to fly it like Rexy thou.

The thumbs up design could be touch clearer IMO.

I had to go back and look at the Thumbs Up. I thought it was just the B swooshing back with the airflow type design.

I wish them success, but like others I can't see myself using them at all.

Given that so many Americans think Australia is spelt Austria, they’ve gotten reasonably close….

How do you actually generate premium revenue outside of peak season on all these routes? Winter especially.

Looking around the traps today, is huge opportunities in the dom market to pick up some of this surge traffic. Bonza could fly Cairns to BNE/MEL/SYD multiple times a day.

It appears for the foreseeable future, is a business in itself picking up cancelled passengers from other carriers who can’t get organised.

The AB code is bound to confuse some flight tracking/trip tracking sites for several months after operations start.

Regardless the first 737 maxes are new but were actually painted in LOT colours being an order not taken up by LOT. This does mean that they're fitted with a satellite dish for wifi and assuming the seat fit out was completed they could potentially have both power and USB at every seat.

Looking at some of the photos really zoomed in, the seats are installed and it’s the same LOT seats from the other delivered machines looking at the colour.

I guess 777 Partners are doing Boeing a favour taking these ntu frames vs new builds as they paid for.

I know one person who has been hired as a cabin manager. They start next week and the course finishes mid Sep.

September Week 4 still seems very tight.

Flight has dropped off FR - probably out of range currently - wonder where it’ll tech stop and if it’s a contracted delivery flight or using own pilots?

It'll have to stop somewhere in Hawaii and then my guess is Fiji (given it's the most open in the pacific right now).

The flight is using Bonza's own code AB and that aircraft is registered on the Australian register only 9 days ago.

Generally a ferry provider will use its own call sign.

The Head of Checking/Training at Bonza is a ex Tiger 737 Training Captain so likely the person flying it.

BFI-HNL-GUM-MEL looks like routing.

It just landed in HNL and the two people making radio calls both had Australian accents. Funny because they kept calling themselves Bonza 1 but the HNL ATC were having none of it and kept using Alpha Bravo 001.

There are rumours swirling that it'll actually come into MCY at 9:30am on Monday morning.

I did see that this was on HNL rarebirds, generally always pretty good with info. Perhaps GUM-MCY, seems odd to go GUM-MEL

It's possible that there may be a "hangar" event for Media and Staff at MCY when AB001 arrives in Australia.

Hmm if there's any truth to that I might run up Mt Coolum and see if I can't get a view ...
