Booking AA Flights - Use AA US or AA Aus?

It’s easy to book AA via the US website but there was a time when it was significantly more expensive to book via the AU website
I always book direct via the AA website. It doesn’t hurt to compare with the AU prices but the US site has always been cheaper whenever I’ve checked.

Or as you say, an OTA can price in AUD but you run the risk of dealing with their stellar helpdesks if the poo hits the fan.
To clarify I’m suggesting booking with Expedia USA to force US point of sale ticketing (and prices) paying in USD. This trick is helpful for airlines like United which alter the point of sale (and pricing) based on the billing address you provide at check out.
