Booking Air NZ Works, Connecting with Virgin Australia

Hey, So I'm just trying to get my head around a few things,
I've booked to fly to tasmania with Air NZ, connecting in Sydney with Virgin.
I booked The works, so I was wondering if I would be able to select seats on the Virgin Flights, and if I would get a meal.
