I haven't seen any flights from DOH > MEL/SYD/ADE for a few weeks now so we've settled on Europe - Doha - Singapore and will make our way home from there...

I'll keep an eye on flights in case they are released and if so will have the booking changed to get us all the way home directly from DOH if possible.

I commented in another thread that lots of QR availability has dried up

One disadvantage of booking separate legs for award flights could be the taxes.

e.g. Fuel surcharges for A-B-C combined may end up considerably less than fuel surcharges for A-B and B-C.

Fuel or Carrier surcharges are not "Taxes".

Any reticketing with such a change should result in a correct recalculation of any taxes, levies and surcharges with appropriate refund or additional charge.
