Hi AFF,

Just want to start by saying love this website, and love you guys! Ive got a wealth of knowledge just by reading the various threads in here. Its very enriching and exciting. Anyhoo my questions.

Wife and I are thinking of booking J class from PER - SIN - KIX for a trip in December 18 back in Jan 19. few things:

1.) Thinking of flying out of PER on 14-15 Dec 18, can I confirm that SQ releases their awards flights 350 days in the future? What time do they normally do this at?
2.) I know its December is a popular time to visit Japan, so will be mad house, would I need to enlist some help i.e. Expertflyer? Or is it over kill?
3.) Is it best to book via the website, or call the SQ number for the said redemption?
4.) Obviously I would need to book the Departure first, then wait till Jan 18 to book the return. Is the best way to book 2 singles or Ive read somewhere that I can alter the existing one and book the "Return" so it appears in the same itinerary?
5.) For the return leg in Jan, I was thinking of booking CTS - SIN - PER, but I understand that the CTS leg is seasonal for SQ, better via ANA. Whats the best way to confirm this as I dont see any ANA fights on the way back?
6.) Or #5, is it best to fly SQ from NRT - SIN PER instead via SQ?

Thanks in advance for any help you guys give. Ive never ever booked a flight so far ahead so making me tad anxious that it also happens to be during christmas!!

I believe it's 355 days. No need for any special award finding tools, just hop on the website, plug in the dates and book. If no seats are available you can waitlist. No service will help that waitlist clear. SQ's site doesn't show any partner availability. Partner awards (or combinations of partner + SQ) will require you to call in.

You can check for ANA seats from SIN-CTS (or vice versa) on the AC Aeroplan website. If seats are showing, you should be able to book them in conjunction with a PER-SIN flight (if this flight is showing as available on the SQ website) by calling SQ. The whole itinerary will price at the Star Alliance award rate if you include flights on *A partner airlines.
