Hi all

New AmEx cardholder here. Looking to potentially book a trip to Hawaii and saw that Jetstar have some great prices online. I noticed however that the airline dropdown box on the AmEx travel booking page didn't list any low cost carriers - does this mean that travel on these airlines cannot be arranged using AmEx?

I think so yes, as I recall Amex Plat Travel don't deal with most LC Airlines.....

I think they probably can book it but basically they will be going onto the website and booking it the same as you can do them charging you a fee.

This would be correct.

The standard booking fee of $55 would apply plus since they can't issue the ticket themselves, they'll charge you another fee to have a 3rd party issue the ticket. I think the fee was $27 or something along that figure.

I pretty much see no reason to book anything less than business class with PTS due to the booking fees.
