Hi,

Hoping somebody can answer this question. My understanding is if a QFF, you get points for any Qantas flight you take, regardless of if you booked it through a TA, through the Qantas website, or through a discount website such as expedia.com

A friend of mine who lives in the UK is of the opinion that if you book through a discount website, you don't get your frequent flyer points.

Does anybody know? Thanks for your help.

Christina :)

QFF members get points (minimum 1000) for any paid QF flight, no matter how its booked.

Refer to the Qantas Frequent Flyer terms and conditions (available on the QF web site) for a definition of "eligible flight" for the purpose of earning FF points and status credits.

Certain fares/tickets are not eligible for FF earning, such as Classic Awards, industry discounted fares (such as IDxx fares available for airline employees), some prizes etc. But in general, if you paid for the fare booked through an authorised travel agency and its a QF flight number then it will earn QF FF points.

Thank you both.

NM, when you say "travel agent" does that include online, or do you mean a bricks and mortar travel agent?? It doesn't mention it in the Qantas T&C's, it just takes about 'eligible flights'.

Any authorised sales agent, including Qantas on-line web site sales, other airline wib sites, or any other authorised web-based sales agency including the likes of Expedia, Best Flights etc.
