Booking / Paying for AAdvantage Awards

Oh.. is there any way to get that for a residential account?
Yes, but the costs may not be very attractive as a personal account.
Not the same as VOIP is it?
It used VoIP transport.

I also have an Australian VoIP setup using a softphone, but that requires an SSL VPN into our corporate network so not quite as quick/simple as the real IP phone. So it all depends on where I need the call placed (Australia or USA) as to which phone I use. Sitting on a conference call right now that is hosted in the USA, so using the USA phone for this call.

Booked and paid for a domestic flight PER - SYD: without any problems (it seems)... however reservation is now changed to "on request". Anyone ever experience this issue before?

I think my last award request stayed on request for a few hours before I received the email with the eticket.

Happy wandering

received an email from aadvantage saying the credit card got declined. most strange. will try again without putting in a zip code this time...

I always book thru Usa site
I always change the address on the AA account to a friend in USA
then give that address with my oz cc and it always goes thru.
seems they don't match up the address and zip.
I have done about 20 bookings that way.
i refuse to pay extra if using an Australian cc

I ended up having to chase up the (somewhat) local AA office to get them to ticket the reservation when this happened to me. They were saying that as it wasn't an urgent reservation (for travel soon) that ticketing could take 3-4 days.

i've had a booking "on request" since December 20, with the miles coming out yesterday. it's not until march next year and not sure if i'll even take the trip, but am wondering whether this is normal?

Cheers

Yes. "On Request" is usually the norm for partner award tickets. I've seen it take from 1-5 days... if it's an urgent booking then contact a local AA ticketing office and ask them to push the ticket through.
