Kris availability is wonderful and QF is not.

Are you serious cove. I have been trying to book business on SQ, SIN-IST for six weeks and it is always waitlisted (without fail).

What is you tactic. (I am trying for Saver awards).[/QUOTE]

Well for someone with no status in either progam, apart from being a QC, I have found reeeming via SQ far superior in terms of both availaibility and points cost since I switched to them just over a year ago.

Remember too that with SQ you can redeem *A as well.

ie just a fornight ago I booked J flight MEL-London on Thai in J for 75K. That would be economy with QF!!!!

And at the same time booked Frankfurt to SIN in First and SIN-MEL in J, for a July return.

Like with QF there is best availaibilty if you booka year out.

If you can travel at only a few days notice they seem to often free upa lot of availibility.

I book for family of 4/5 and so in the main book well out for holidays in school holiday periods.

My family have never tried IST on saver.
On points our family have done Manchester,London,Paris,Frankfurt,Tokyo,San Francisco,New York,Los Angeles,Hong Kong,Auckland and Singapore in separate trips in the last 3 years.
So I have little knowledge on 90 per cent of places to go in the world.
Points redemptions are a big cash saver.

Out of interest were they all in J?

If in J, how many in your family and how many of those destinations did you all fly together.\?

In my case I travel as 4 or 5.
For Vietnam from MEL it was easy to get 4 J on the oe flight.
But for Europe the most I have bee able to get (in advance) is 2 per flight. I have adopted flying on consective days.

Mostly First and some J.
We dont need to be on the same plane but want to land within a day.
Typically we go as one or two with QF.
It is just a game and I play it hard seeing there are up to 5 travelling but more often 2 or 3.
