Made a booking today on the phone using a voucher i have, it has been ticketed it seems as i have received the e-ticket email and i have been able to place upgrade requests on, however when i go to View My Bookings and press on it, it still appears as a voucher (all be it with the original value changed to the current one), does the same if i do the View your booking and putting the reference in and surname. Does anyone have any experience with this? Even if ticketed can it take some time to change to the booking online so i can pick seats etc...?

I had just this happen.

You need to call Qantas and get them to remove 'something' from the booking in order to fix it.

You may need to try a couple of people to find one who knows the details, but some do.

Once this is done its all normal, including setting your seat and other changes.

Interesting.

How does the booking shows on classic.checkmytrip.com ?

I've seen this twice in the last few months when redeeming a voucher for a flight booking. Check My Trip correctly shows the flight details etc as well as a note that the booking was redeemed from a voucher (or words to that effect). The QF website just shows the booking as a voucher with a note to the effect of 'This voucher cannot be redeemed online, call xx_xx_ to redeem.

The first time I called QF and they changed *something* in the booking so that I could access it online; the second time I just ignored it and arranged seat selection etc over the phone rather than online.

Yeah all sorted now thanks guys! It took 3 agents for them to say those magic words, "let me just remove 'something' and itll be fine" ! Wonder how many phone calls Qantas could save a year if they just removed that 'something'!
