Hi All
Was on a SYD-BNE flight last Wednesday, and was relaxing watching some Sky News on L2A through my Bose Headset.
As we began to descend, I was asked by an FA to switch my Bose off. I of course did this, but was slightly annoyed as the news item I had been waiting to listen to for the previous 10 minutes was just coming on, as luck would have it.
Just wondering what the procedure is for this. Logically, this would be considered an electrical item I guess, which 'could interfere with our navigational instruments', however I have worn these religiously since I bought them back in 2008, and have flown with them on domestic Oz and US routes, along with international sectors without once having been told to switch them off on descent.
Could this be a new safety rule, or is this a common thing, and I have simply been lucky not to be asked to switch it off previously?
Thanks
