Ahh, understand, bit of a PITA, maybe Bose are trying to keep Gerry happy!

Very much so! Oddly enough, once I purchased I was then offered a special price from the UK Amazon, which was cheaper than originally (still more than getting from the US, but not enough of a difference to make you go of all the effort to get via the US!).

I will try it in the next day or two as soon as my pay goes in.

If it doesn't work - I will use my US debit card.

EDIT: Just bought them on the bose 6 month payment plan. Worked fine.

Perhaps try the "El Segundo" method if it doesn't work........might be best to make your billing address the same as your shipping address perhaps.....

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

My new QC15's just arrived and I didn't even have to leave the sofa - thanks UPS!

$299 + tax on the 6-month payment plan :)

Did you achieve success with your US credit card, or the other option. Just that not all/many of us have a US credit card - so are at the not-so-tender mercy of Aussies BOSE and resellers.

The "el segundo" method worked perfectly fine with my Aussie CC.

Of course I used my shipping address (currently in the US), as my billing address - and it worked fine.

$332 including taxes. No extra charge to put it on the Bose 6 month payment plan either :)

I'm reallykicking myself for not picking up my BOSE when in the US in December - but back then thought Amazon was still sending them out, but that loophole or whatever changed - quotes price was $299 incuding tax - would have been laughing.

My pair of cheapo sony NC headphones died on the way home from the US (why couldn't they have died on the way there???). Any way,I've decided to get the Qc15s to replace them. It might be Christmas by the time I get back to the states but am heading to Singapore in a couple of weeks. Any tips on getting a good price on the QC15s in Singapore?

They are $399 in Aus now. They worked it out we go offshore these days for a better deal, as hardly normal is finding out.

I got mine in Aruba for $280 tax free, best deal I've seen around.

See if the local Bose shop can do them for $350?

Regular shop price in USA is US$299, including Bose shops, Frys and many other places. Of course most states will add sales tax to that price. There are some on-line places selling for as low as US$249 plus shipping, so you may be able to have them landed into Australia for around A$300.

15% off at myer tonight plus TRS when I head out of the country has them very close to $300, so I'm happy with that :)

Repost:

Well I actually got to use them finally in flight.
Needed the instructions to locate where the battery goes in.
No info on Hi or Lo....sound increase right?
Put them on and engine noise reduced but the kid behind me and the women talking I could still hear?????
Found that with my ASUS tablet and movie playing with volume on max was not loud enough to block\cancel the kids yelling/screaming/the dong of the service call button or even people talking around me!
Wondered if I had a dud pair.
But attached to the phone and playing music up loud completely blocked out the noise. The sound quality is average as reported.
I did find I had to adjust the position, so that the ear muffs, where lower, than comfort, to get better noise cancelling effect.
The women beside me that she could hear a noise from the earphones when I listened to the loud music.
This is compared to my in-ear isolation ear phones that are attached to my Sony Vaio Z series with noise cancelling coming from the laptop.
I expected better for low sound from devices and hope the QC20's are! ;/

Hi is for 'devices'
Lo is for aircraft IFE.

They cancel repetitive noise (eg aircraft engine noise) but not talking so much.

Qantas frequent flyer just sent an email saying the new Bose QC 20s in-ear noise cancelling headphones are available on the Qantas online store.

And, for a limited time only, you get, wait for it, a FREE AIRLINE ADAPTER with your purchase!!!!! WOW!!!!!! Hurry - don't miss out!

My understanding is you don't need the adapter when you are flying with VA. Take that Q !

Thought of the day ........... When the world around you has nothing more to offer, by all means, wear headphones.

I think it's more that the world has too much to offer. Generally loud noises= hearing damage, other's inane conversations, babies crying.
