I'm also thankful to everyone for being OK when my Little Miss had to crash the end of the lunch, drinks that night at the Hilton, and drinks/the start of dinner on Sun (before her precious ears found the music too loud in the nook around the corner).
And to the people who met and chatted to her in the Flounge, on the flight home to BNE, and the baggage carousel. I know who her favourite travel agent is! ;)

A small update on my past week. Was released from hospital last night after nearly a week getting my leg sorted out. Ended up with IV antibiotics etc to get me back to normal. +1 quite annoyed that our vacation in Hawaii was ruined by my misadventure.

I have to think of something awesome to make it up to him. Mmmmmmm.......

Am now sitting in the Air Shabangabang Lounge in AKL as I wanted to fly to MEL with a proper flat bed seat rather than QF J in a 737.

Looking forward to being in my own apartment and relaxing for the next week or so.

Good to hear you are on the mend BR....you should really have rested last weekend!:idea:....but your determination not to let you fellow AFFers down was amazing and beyond the call of duty!

Kinda sorry I missed this lunch, but family time came first. Took the kids to their first horse riding lesson. In the long run staying at home is likely to cost me more, anyway ;)
 
Great to hear you are back on Australian soil by now and some more tone recuperating with +1 will be the tonic he needs given the situation.

Never a truer word spoken
My daughter is apparently a good rider (so people tell me)
they sidle up to me at events and start talking to me and soon go away when i say
"You know how there is always one parent who understands and one who pay? Im teh one who pays"
Just don't but them teh first horse medhead because 1 becomes 2 , 3, 4 (looking out the window to check thers only 4 still)
Then you need a float
then new saddles
new car
new gear
new stables
new arena , round yard
then a new float!

It never stops!
Now mrs C wants the arena floodlit!
