Despite telling them in our application that we only spend about $200 per month on fuel, we were given a $30k credit limit as well. This is ridiculous, as it will affect our ability to borrow for other purposes.
For those waiting to receive their cards, you can start using your account straight away by downloading and setting up the BPme app on your phone.

I've read through the thread but couldn't see whether it's $150/calendar or anniversary month?

I'm not sure entirely. Caltex's promotion of the same type worked on calendar month but if your card was activated halfway through a calendar month then your first qualifying month for the $150 spend will be the next full month.

They have a massive backlog in applications, so they're taking well over two weeks to process them at present.

That might explain why I still don't have mine. Applied on 3rd Feb and have heard nothing but crickets from them, apart from a generic 'we're busy processing applications' email.

The strange thing is, I also applied for a second card with my partner's ABN at the same time. She was approved in 24 hours and yet I'm still waiting!

Do you need to wait for the card to start fill up or you can link the card number to BPMe . Also how do we check that the BP Plus and QBR have been linked for the promotion

You can definitely link your card to your BPme app and start using it right away. Log into your BP Plus account to get your card details and just input them into the app. I started using our card the day it was approved.

From reading their signup page, calendar month and billing month seem to be one and the same - if you activate halfway through a month then your billing month is still from 1st to 28th-31st.

So, if you activate on the 27th Feb then you have only 2 days to make the $150 spend for that month?*

*29 days in Feb this year.

I'm not 100% sure - that's just what it reads like when you read the section about "up to 51 days interest free". But you don't have to wait for the card, it will automatically appear in BPme for BP Plus (which is a separate app, like Caltex's Starcard app) if you sign in/create account with the same email as you signed up.

Yeah, I think that's just referring to the interest free period, not the $150/mo offer. Ie, it you only get 51 days interest free for purchases made on the 1st day of the month, based on a 30 day month + 21 day billing cycle. Meaning purchases made on the 2nd of the month would only receive 50 days interest free etc etc.

Is anyone else experiencing extremely long wait times for approval? I'm up to 3 weeks and still no word, whereas my partner got approved in 24hrs. We both applied at the same time.

Anyone having difficulties with the website? I can't seem to add a new cardholder or pay a bill without the site crashing.

Nope, it's not. I just got my invoice dead in the 1st of March, despite only being signed up for two weeks. As a result, missed the $150 spend requirement. Total cough.

Just been invoiced 1/2-29/2 due 7/3
Strangely transactions made on the 28/2 are not showing on the statement or account online, although I received email purchase receipts.
Missed the Feb spend but already completed march if that's the case...

This is where the grey area begins.

It's possible that because your card was approved mid-way through the February billing period that your first qualifying month for the bonus points will be the first full month following activation (ie. March onwards). I would definitely clarify this with BP via email.

With the similar previous Caltex Starcard promotion if you received your cards during a partial month and did not meet the minimum spend requirement for that month, the first month of your promotional period will begin the following month.

I would say that it's very likely your promotional period will begin in March but you should get this in writing from BP.

I have 2 BP Plus cards (on different ABNs), one which was approved in early Feb and the other which was approved on the 29th Feb. We had time to meet the minimum spend for the first card and I put through my first transaction on the second card today (1st March).

I have noticed a bit of lag with the online system displaying transactions. It took up to 3 days for a recent fuel purchase to show on the online statement.

I would keep the receipts/BP Me references, just in case you have to chase it up.

This has been a cluster. Got cards, pin's we set didnt work. A few days later random pins turn up in the mail but we dont know which associates to which card. Try to use the app to pay at the band new bp on the corner (about 2 month old site) App doesnt work. So I go inside, the guy says "yeah our machine is missing a cable". Fine, ill pay with the card..... but.... machine says pins wrong. Guy gets angry at me because he thinks im trying to get free fuel... lol. Paid on amex.

More issues for me as well as I have been double charged. They couldn't help me over the phone, and I had to enquire via email which could take 3-5 business days as they are flooded with queries.

The rep was super polite though.

For those wondering

The bonus points offer applies to the first full 5 months, so if you got the account in mid Feb then March will be the first month.

The billing period runs from the 1st to end of each month.

So, what about those who met the spend in February?
