Brace for ex QFF boarders!

Anyone not aware of the Qantas web site shemozzle and devaluation of ASA awards etc should head over to the Qantas forum for a bit of comic relief.

Just to show VA isn't alone in being able to cough-up their web site and interact disgracefully with their FFers.

Stand by for more than a couple of ex QFFs in the VA lounges and seeking status matches.

Did some-one say they were being expanded?

I rarely look at the QF forum these days but that thread has certainly been on fire today!

Couldn't care less about Any Seat awards but the website certainly worries me.

Received an email about sales (again!) and went to have a look and that was garbage. I know we will get used to it but there is so much gray space. It won't resize to smaller windows either. And I noticed a lot more J* flights in the selections. At one point I was crying as it was taking too long to do anything.

Just goes to show you though that the IT departments of both airlines are shocking and so is QA. How did we get this way in Australia? Off-shoring?

I asked the question a month or so ago and was told there were no status matches being offered. That may now change, of course.

"HG adopts the brace position" come on board all you QFFers and I'll share my cheese plates and hokey pokey ice cream with you. JB's timing for status match was so good last time, I'm sure they could do something like book so many flights in so many months and we will status match you, otherwise throw some Amex points across fast and do a J class status run before the 30th to rack up some SCs.

I'm BIS VA Gold, don't need much encouragement to put most of my Nth American travel to VA. But being deemed VA Plat will make that decision so much easier

While they don't have the general Status match deal (which caused a frenzy in September 2011), that are known to do so and consider requests on a case by case basis.

Thanks again. Just got my UA Pt status match , so VA would be a nice addition (for Dom obviously, and would prefer them for TPAC).
