Brisbane drinks 16 December 2009

As mentioned in the previous Brisbane drinks thread there is a drinks night in Brisbane on Wednesday, 16 December 2009 ~5:30pm.

The venue is The Mill Hotel Bar & Restaurant. It is located on Wickham Terrace, on the corner of Bartley St, next to Brisbane Private Hospital, opposite the old Tower Mill and ~100 metres from Jacobs Ladder.

I should be there. It'll be my first day back in Brisbane after a long trip, so we'll see how big the pile of **** at work I have to deal with is.

Weak. That kind of defeatist attitude is not appropriate for such a festive season.

I just came back from an overseas trip of about six weeks.

Not only will I somehow have to get used to the fact that alcohol is more expensive than that in a decent number of places in Europe, but I need to be conscious of my weight, and additional (may I add, inadequate quality) beer isn't going to help.

Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. I assume the usual 6.30pm-ish start; I will try to make it there "on time" although this will be dependent on how high the pile of **** which I have to deal with tomorrow.

The plan is to get through the festive season with liver, kidneys and pancreas in tact. The 2 week trip to Thailand is not going to help the cause....

I will be there from 5-5.30 - this week is very nice at work. I worked an 11 hour stretch on Saturday so I'm having a slack week in lieu of a day-in-lieu.

JohnK, I can appreciate. I have my work party on Friday night in the Valley then have to be picking someone up from Coolangatta at 7am on Saturday.

Brisbane drinks has always had flexible starting times.

I should be there at 5:30 as I managed to get to work early for a change.
