I have made a post in FT about it.

Just thought I should give some people a weeks notice. :p

I have added it to my calendar, if I am invited?

I shall be there to meet everyone for the first time. Shame I can't fly in. Does anyone know when Jetstar will start flying OOL - BNE? :p

Is there a train station nearby, that'll help?

It is a 4-5 minute walk from Central train station, coming from the Gold Coast is a bit far for a drink; dinner and a chat, but I have gone to Melbourne for something similar but that included a bit of flying.

Hmmm, you must have read my mind about being an unlikely attendee JohnK.

Quite likely that I'll be in Sydney on that day (and possibly staying overnight), so I may be either toasting you in a QP, and/or on a plane, or in a hotel room.

Sorry, no go for me - if anyone wants a warm up tho, I will be in Rydges southbank on Tuesday night!

LW - I'm on a 5 or 6 PM to SYD - QP?

Mr!

Will be attending, but will limit consumption to around 3 drinks :)

Well that will be a quick night then. :p

I'll see your 3 drinks and (anti-)raise you to abstinence from alcohol. :)

But who could say no to a catch up with friends anyway? Just hope my confirmation document is sufficiently complete then so I can pull myself away from the office. :(

I will get them to prepare the yard glass for you. :p

I was at a 21st once where no one bought the birthday boy a yard glass ()... they resorted to using - wait for it... a condom which they ended up calling a "FLEXI-HALF YARD"

Mr!

Haha, sounds interesting. However knowing what happens when you fill a condom up with water, that'd be very hard to drink out of successfully.

I had my 21st in 2006 and didn't have a yard, however I did put a $400 bar tab down and didn't leave till the pub closed. So I reckon I probably drank more than a yard, but spaced out over the night. Ahh, Guinness!

samh004, you seem to be of the same era as me
