I believe we had 18 AFF'ers there tonight (anyone think the number was higher?)

Good turnout.

TG- My apologies. Should have said hello.

We had a great time last night, really enjoyed meeting everyone. A big thank you to chief lounge angel Annette and her team, they certainly looked after us.
I must admit it's the first time I've had a Moet to accompany my party pie. That honour usually goes to a beer.

Thank you awilcockson for putting it all together and thank you VA for your hospitality.

Indeed, thanks awilcockson for making it happen.

BTW, I really think we needed to take a photo of the empty lounge area so we could return those hunking big (and heavy) chairs and siamese twin tables back to their original location. I'm sure the lounge Angels (and yes, they deserve that term) sorted it out in the end though!

Now I WILL post to the community!

I have sat on the sideline on this forum for a while but sat in the Virgin Lounge in Brisbane last night with other forum members and now that having met 'real people', it's time to communicate!
Thanks to Virgin last night for making the group SO VERY WELCOME! and for their hospitality. Thank you also to the other group members there who also made me feel more than welcome - I'll get the hang of your usernames one day but meantime just wanted to say hi to all and thanks to Virgin Lounge in Brisbane.

'ow many drinks had you had by that stage? One of those Amex "girls" looked a heck of a lot like a guy to me

a few ;)

and yes it was after I posted that that I realised that the second person handing out the champagne was a guy.

Thanks everyone for coming to what turned out to be a brilliant night.

And my extreme gratitude to Annette for letting us borrow the "quiet area" of the lounge for our get together last night. The responsiveness to customer needs/requests and genuine interest in looking after their customers is going to win Virgin a lot of customers, and cause a good deal of grief for Qantas.
