I will be there but you forgot to add:

Special guest of honour.

GVDIAD for FT all the way from Washington DC before the FT Ozfest in Adelaide.

Ooh a special guest all the way from the US, that’ll be good! :)

I’ve updated the calendar, if anyone uses it.

You could have told me to add him instead of me having to guess we are having a special guest all the way from the USA for our humble Brisbane drinks night.

I will be in Asia (or probably somewhere in the air over part of Asia) during that week, so I'm a no-show for the next.

Flying out on May 12 to Los Angeles. Boarding the Silver Seas ship called the Silver Shadow for a 12 day cruise up to Alaska and ending up for 3 days in Vancouver.Returning home on the 30 May.

Will definately have a drink to your health on the 21 May hopefully while dining on an Alaskan crab claw.

FYI, booked this cruise on Vacations to Go in the 90 day Ticker @ 60% off.
This is a 6 star rated ship and the price includes fine dining cuisine and all drinks.

Flight is with V Australia in J thanks to Amex points.

MAX_1, did an Alaska cruise on a 'regular' ship (Princess ship, nice enough), and it was brilliant! Am looking forward to hearing what a Silver Seas ship is like as Alaska is a cruise I would quite like to take again someday, and TBH, I'd like to do it in as much 'style' as I can! :)

Enjoy the cruise!

Certainly looks like there’s a bit of guest shuffling that night.

Just realised that’s 5 weeks away too

I'm a maybe as well. I would like to catch up with the regular AFF members. I will keep you posted.

I am of the firm opinion that I would be considered fairly nutty myself! (not in a way I'm allergic to thankfully)

I wouldn't attend AFF drinks if you live in another city but I guess if you can schedule your meetings then I why not.

As you live in Melbourne I am surprised you haven't replied to this thread.

The same group; well the regulars anyway will be in Melbourne this weekend. Flying, lounging; drinking is all we seem to do, maybe that should be turned into; drinking; lounging and maybe some flying in the mix as well. ;)

I am soooooo annoyed that I have a prior engagement on this weekend! I would have enjoyed meeting up for lunch/drinks.
I did look at rearranging things but I am unable to.

That's why I am thinking I should do BNE drinks next month.

I'm also thinking of ozfest but I could only do a Saturday night arrival so it may not be worth my while?

I couldn't even manage the Saturday night dinner for Ozfest in Cairns last year but I did turn up on Sunday.

But my 21 hours can't beat Futaris and his 1 hour appearance at Ozfest in Hobart in 2008 with the more surprising part he lives in Brisbane.

As this is the night before the Wilson clan leave for ADL (ozfest VII) and a 10 day holiday, I am soooo unlikely to attend this function (on pain of death given we'll be packing that night).

This drinks night is also the date of State of Origin game 1, in Sydney. So I assume they’ll have it on the TV’s and it might be a little busier than normal.
