Brisbane drinks night Thursday 18 August 2011 @ 5:30pm

It was decided in the previous Brisbane drinks thread the next Brisbane drinks night will be on Thursday, 18th August 2011 at ~5:30pm.

The venue is The Mill Hotel Bar & Restaurant. It is located on Wickham Terrace, on the corner of Bartley St, next to Brisbane Private Hospital, opposite the old Tower Mill and ~100 metres from Jacobs Ladder.

Oh noo, I've got something else planned for that night, so will have to choose carefully. It's the monthly happy hour (funny that I go to other regular drinking sessions) at Royal Pines, and I believe we're getting a tour of the pastry kitchen.

I will deliberate for the next month.

Have the next round of a speaking competition that afternoon, then the next day I have a thesis milestone seminar to deliver.

This is the regular Brisbane drinks night with interstate guests.

The Brisbane Virgin Lounge drinks night is a special drinks night for August only.

Brisbane drinks on the 18 August is to coincide with a FT visitor from the USA, awilcockson is organizing a separate drinks night in the DJ lounge to coincide with the upcoming Qantas announcement on the 24 of August.

So your earlier post had nothing to do with 'regular' Brisbane drinks but one off drinks in the Virgin Lounge.

No problem at all. I will definitely skip any Brisbane drinks organised for Irish Murphy's followed by ice cream....
