Have a horrible headache today. I think related to getting over a cold/flu that I've had... Left work early, and although wanted to head to the Velocity lounge, instead headed for bed.

Should still be able to pop in, but may not stay for long.

Interesting The Mill decided to hold a quiz night; and which team won that.

Travelers, which consisted of JohnK, Ozbeachbabe, trippin_the_rfit, awilcockson, Max_1 and Bundy Bear.

Had to laugh at the 2 airline questions;
1. Which famous passenger joined the mile high club on a Qantas flight to Mumbai.
2. What are the 5 largest non European flights ex London(Heathrow)

The other team didn't go home empty handed finishing 2nd, we can use some of the bar and food credit on our next AFF Brisbane drinks.

Another good AFF drinks night, thanks again to those who turned up.

I think we ended up with $80 of value for the next night. That should be very valuable, and hopefully we can win another $80 then!

Great to see everyone there and enjoying themselves. What started out as a gathering involving 2 people (to help me settle into Brisbane life) back in 2008 has now grown to 16 attendees (a record for Brisbane AFF drinks and possibly any AFF drinks) and the tradition will hopefully continue for a long time to come.

Trivia was a nice little bonus tonight and yes we have a nice little kitty for next regular drinks night but unfortunately that will be on a Thursday night as we have some special guests in town and will not coincide with trivia. FWIW I will more than likely attend trivia regularly and if anyone happens to be around come in and say hello. Wednesday nights at the Mill.

As we have some special guests in town the next regular Brisbane drinks night will be on Thursday 18 August 2011 at 5:30pm.

Although I was unable to stay very long I did enjoy a couple of drinks and meeting everyone. It's nice to put faces to forum posters.

I did slip out to the pokie room just before leaving and won $19 in about 30 seconds, that's when I left in a hurry before being tempted to reinvest.

Unfortunately neither of us picked Dubai!
