Flying J domestically from Brisbane on Saturday morning
Qantas Gold on a Business ticket
Do you think i will be able to guest in 2 guests who are not flying to have breakfast with me in the lounge
I know I can guest 1 into the Qantas Club but flying J so would rather be in the Business Lounge
Anyone had experience with this before?
This will be around 5:15am so it wont be busy!

If they're not flying I can't imagine why anyone would want to have a lounge breakfast at 5am.

You cannot guest anyone when travelling J, technically your only entitlement is the QP for one guest I am afraid.

I stand corrected (thanks Medhead), one guest is permitted! Two will still be an issue.

That is one guest who is ALSO travelling on, and I quote from the T&C's "a Qantas operated and marketed flight "

In the non business lounge a gold can bring in "One guest allowed and does not need to be travelling."

Ex Brisbane there is no J* Business options, so that part is not relevant in the context of the OP !

Who said anything about Jetstar? The point was as a business class passeneger in the J lounge the "allowance" if you will is for one person who must be travelling (on a Qantas flight), Gold in the non J is one person who does not need to be travelling. The OP wants two neither of which are not travelling, so it is not an option in either lounge.

From the website Eligibility and Access to The Qantas Club Lounges | Qantas

Next onward flight that day must be on a Qantas marketed and operated flight. One guest allowed if also travelling on a Qantas marketed and operated flight[SUP]^[/SUP].

'Also' is the important word. To me it is clear that both the J passenger and the guest must be travelling on Qantas flights. For other access combinations when the guest doesn't have to be travelling it explicitly says "Guest does not need to be travelling", it does not say that for domestic J pax getting access to domestic J lounge.

Having said all that if the OP just showed up with the guests and presented their boarding pass, I get the feeling they would be let in without the guests being asked if they were actually travelling.

I was flying on a JASA between BNE & SYD (Status run), and my mother & husband were flying regular Y on the same flight. Husband is QP. I requested access for both into the J Lounge and I was refused. I chose my mother :).
