Sorry it can't have been sq they don't have an arrival at that time?? Thought I saw blue and gold. They were in a hurry whoever they were.
That was Alliance Airlines QQ2835 from Moranbah. Before that was REX ZL5727 from Roma.
They would normally come in over my place onto 01L. Looks like they were over the race tracks then hung a left.
Flight radar didn't show that tracking but what they would have normally tracked into BNE.

Storms again, I got in 2 hours ago so avoided the holding (details showing on fr24)
Storms are lined up along final rwy01, as luck would have it.
I've been away 3 weeks and only 7mm in my rain gauge, bizarre.

On Sunday, I made it out of BNE on the very last flight, after being stuck on the tarmack for an hour. Very very very lucky, every flight was cancelled in and out after about 8pm.

I met a poor gentlement on the train who was down in Sydney for a game for the day, he said the the airlines don't have to compensate him because it's due to weather. I sort of understand, but it seems like a tragic situation - another reason to have a CC with good insurance or an ongoing policy like revolut, sometimes it's useful even for domestic.

Same thing again tonight with storms up in south-east Queensland.

We are Northern Gold Coast and copped 60mm of rain on Sunday night with another 40mm last night.

On the southern Sunshine Coast. Sunday night was 2mm, Monday night 8mm. Tonight thunder and lightening for ~ 20 minutes plus heavy rain. We have definitely missed the worst of it.
