Going to be booking an 11 night (I know...) stay on the Gold Coast in mid-December. Stayed in Broadbeach a few times before (but a long time since I've been back) and really enjoyed it so we are looking to stay there again. Surfers is so...busy.

Looking for at least a 2 bedroom apartment, possibly a 3 depending on the price. 4 people.

Any recommendations, experiences (where to go and even more importantly where NOT to go!) will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Meriton Broadbeach is often good value. But prices vary widely.

I stayed at Meriton recently and posted this trip report. Really worth the bit extra to have the sea view & pay the $10 a night for the parking if you have a car. I used travel zoo for a great raate & have also since got a great discount offer direct from Meriton. I was glad we stayed at Broadbeach rather than Surfers for the reason the Op outlined. There are certainly heaps of food choices & you can walk everywhere

I always stay at Boulevard North Appartments on the Esplande in Broadbeach. Not a new building but kept up to date.

Boulevard North Apartments - Broadbeach, Gold Coast Accommodation

Speak to Managers Margaret and Ray and request a front unit - 2 bedroom 2 bathroom - sensational views. There are also back units 2 B/room 2 b/room with great views best to be above 7th floor. Each appartment has one carpark. Walking to Broadbeach Central is less than 10 minutes. Walk to Surfers about 20 minutes.
This appartment block is opposite the beach and very close to Broadbeach Surf Club flagged area. Bowls club 100 metres away.

Checked out the Meriton, however the rates are far over the top of acceptable. 3 BR was pushing $5,000!

Boulevard North looks quite nice MAX_1 and seems suitable for our needs. Thank you, we will discuss this hotel.

I have also had a poke around and found a few places with quite acceptable pricing, choices choices! Thanks very much for all the advice thus far :)

An update, we have booked a 3 BR apartment at the Ultra Broadbeach - I stayed there for a few nights in 2007 and it was brand new then so I'm sure it's still nicely furnished. Very close to the beach and a great price - 11 nights for just under $3,000.

Thanks for the suggestions here as well, they did help us! :)
