Since SQ294 departs 05:55AM, I was planning to leave home around 12:00 and kill time in the lounge rather than sit at home until 2:00AM, but I’ve just read this about the lounge: “if you’re flying Business Class (or higher) on a Star Alliance partner airline or have Star Alliance Gold Status. One thing to note is that the lounge only opens three hours before a Singapore Airlines flight departs, so if you arrive at the airport earlier, the lounge may still be closed.“

But are you wearing tracksuit pants?
This is the most ridiculous article I’ve ever read. It made me think of you.

I can’t imagine anyone dressed like this in the article would score an upgrade. Imagine being dressed like that the whole flight just to try score an upgrade and then end up in economy wearing that for the entire flight 😂

Pro Tip: Don’t say out loud the number of days until your trip to your wife.

Wish the A380 was offered on Singapore Airlines from Melbourne.

Also I stumbled on Walk With Me YouTube channel and was watching his first class journeys, she happened to walk past…

Hey Guys,

So my flight SQ 248 departs Melbourne at 05:55AM and lounge opening hours are from 07:30AM.

A.) What do I do?
B.) Is there another lounge that would be open? I should have Qantas Lounge passes but I am not flying a Qantas flight 🤷‍♂️
C.) I already told wife I’m leaving at midnight so I can spend time in the lounge..

Air NZ lounge opens at 4am or something doesn’t it?
Personally I rate the NZ lounge at MEL higher than the SQ lounge too

Re C: i was gonna suggest you arrive MEL at 5am and go straight on board.

Maybe by 3.45AM as I’d be too paranoid I’d miss my flight, imagine I need a nervous poo or something and miss the plane

This is why I don't do early morning international flights. If I need to wake at 3:45am, you can bet I am getting zero sleep that night for fear of missing my flight.

The only exception is when I want to adjust to my destination timezone and staying up super late is part of the game plan.
