Hi to you all

Flight CX139, Hong Kong to Sydney appears to have the non- herringbone type business class seats.

Has anyone tried the "new" business class seats in the straight pattern and if so are they worth the extra cost.

Thanks

All AU flights on CX operate with the Cirrus 'new' J seats - these are excellent and probably one of the best J seats out there presently (they have been copied by all and sundry since their release a few years back).

Excellent seats, recently did SIN/HKG/CDG in CX J, seat comfy & wide.

Not sure where you're getting that information from - but as others have said, all AU flights offer reverse herringbone. The seat map will show a 1-2-1 configuration.
