Just terrible at Brisbane. Horrible hot option, dips and cheese have been removed. And this is at 5.30pm. I normally support Qantas but if this is lounge food that we are meant to be eating because they are reducing inflight meals the it will be a very slippery slope

That sucks. They had been serving tacos over the last month or so, that was quite alright.

Kenyan lamb curry again last week. Thought I would try some. Must be something wrong with me. That stuff is awful.

Some Indian beef dish the week before where you couldn't taste the beef.

Chili con carne. Tacos. Vegetable curry. Some of these foods can be around for long time as hardly anyone touches them.

I don't consider the food available in the business lounges as a benefit of status. Far from it.

But I guess someone would be happy with the quality of the food. And the cost cutting.

Premium jams and spreads at breakfast removed from the MEL J Lounge since reopening. Given the crowded situation in there, it was the only reason I frequented in the mornings. As the offerings (I use) are now no different to the QP, I've decided to now make use of the additional space in the QP going forward.

Considering the majority of my current travel is MEL-ADL-MEL, the only benefit I'm really getting from WP currently is PB ....

Regards,

BD

I don't know about dinner, but they had chicken tarragon with cous cous for lunch yesterday in BNE J. Soup was tomato and edamame with sour cream.

Has anyone particularly enjoyed the Island Dining option(s) for breakfast at MEL? When I was there on 22 December there was only one option offered, a rather ordinary slice of quiche.

It's Italian chicken with olives and capers in the BNE J lounge today.

Does anyone know if there has been a policy shift in how Qantas is supplying catering to the domestic J lounges? There have been NO hot nibbles for months now, and no antipasta. The addition of a sandwich maker with nothing to make sandwiches with is a bad imitation of already poor lounge offerings at Virgin. Is there any difference between offerings at J lounges and QP?

Having visited both sides on the BNE lounge yesterday I found hot food in the J lounge along with the sandwich maker, but only the sandwich maker in the QP.

The domestic lounge reductions are a disgrace. Yet this is their idea of retaining 65% market share?

By hot nibbles do you mean party pies or spinach and cheese triangles?

Sometimes the Qantas lounge has better food than the business lounge.

Could it be that it's the new management / sub-contractor, as opposed to a policy shift?... Accor Proud to Announce Management of Qantas Domestic Lounges

From the link above. Has been discussed of AFF before
Supplier's only provide what they have money for. If you are scr.....ed down by the client when providing a service something must give.

Err, no. I've had hot food in both the BNE and MEL Dom J lounges quite recently......
