Business Reward Seat Cancellation Fee

Happy to report that the Virgin Rep has been in touch to refund the fee I was charged... I would also add that the Gold call centre operator was nothing but polite and friendly and was obviously just operating from the information in front of him. I think most of us are "happy" to pay charges etc. as long as we are aware of them and they are consistently published, although I would have to say the ability to change/cancel a business rewards booking in the past with no fee was a big plus for me and one that I will miss!

Virgin has heard our cries. As of sometime this afternoon, the popup description for a business reward fare now looks like this:

There are still differences in the terms at different spots on the booking engine.

I had a tizzy about this the other day on Facebook. Was seeing two sets of info, but the website and detailed fare rules (on the final page with the payment details) said there was a fee.

Glad to see it is being fixed (if slowly), because that was getting real annoying. A shame that there is a cancellation fee, but eh, can't have it all. (Also miffed that check-in effectively nullifies any change/cancel/refund rights on a ticket, but ah well).
