Hi there - first post :)

My partner and I are embarking on a Lufthansa RTW in Business Class early next year. We are flying a combo of QF (domestic), UA, LH and SQ. I am wondering which frequent flyer number would be best to note on this booking to maximise points / benefit? I currently have velocity and KrisFlyer but am happy to sign up to any of the others to get the most value points out of this trip.

Thanks in advance

For the last three airlines, they are Star alliance so choose any of the members there. Your Krisflyer members probably has the most convenience/relevance/benefit for local members, but points do expire fairly quickly without extension so consider if you will be able to use them in that time frame and if not choose another program.

Join QF for the QF points as you can't give those to a Star Alliance member. You'll probably need to update your booking with Qantas after it is made to put the Qantas FF number in and not affect the rest of the flights. There is a free joining code to save you the fee.

... and welcome to AFF, @andie80 .

I wonder if you might go close to earning some decent status on one of the other Star Alliance FF programs, if that's attractive? I'm not too familiar with them, but maybe @Mattg might have a suggestion.

Are the QF segments part of Lufthansa RWT? ( codeshare?)Do they then go to your star alliance account .
