I cannot find information about using Aeroplan point to buy Maple Leave lounge passes. Does it exist?

I did notice something about that but took little notice - if i'm asked to guess it may have been 5,000 points but not really sure

I think AC may have suspended sales of lounge passes

You used to be able to buy Maple Leaf lounge passes using Aeroplan points (I believe it was something like 5,000 Aeroplan points at the time), but that was removed around 2019 from memory. I believe it was removed because the lounges were experiencing overcrowding issues.

With that being said, there are a couple of ways to get Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge access:
  • Do you hold Virgin Australia Gold status or better? If so, you'll have access to the Air Canada lounges as part of your Virgin benefit
  • Do you hold Qantas Gold or better? If so, you can potentially match your status over to a Star Alliance airline that will give you Gold level status for a period of time (which would include Maple Leaf Lounge access). Some airlines you could match to include United Airlines and Turkish
  • If you are booked in Flex, Comfort, Latitude or Premium Economy, access your Air Canada booking from the Air Canada website, and you'll see an option to add a lounge pass (the cost will depend on what fare you are booked into)

Thanks @kangarooflyer88 for replying. Wow that's an interesting one. Yeah I didn't mix up my mind because I have seen it before many moons ago! lol

According to your question, none of them are! I just want to empty my account or may want to delete my account because I don't fly much with Air Canada and star alliance.

Even if you don't fly Air Canada or Star Alliance, keep in mind that these points can be used at many different airlines beyond those including:
  • Virgin Australia
  • Emirates
  • Etihad
I'd also argue that there may be a couple of Star Alliance partners in the region where you could make use of those points:
  • Air New Zealand
  • Singapore Airlines
  • All Nippon Airlines (ANA)
I mean you could even burn it on something simple like Sydney to Melbourne which works out to 8,000 points in Economy and 20,000 in business (an award of this type can have a distance of up to 1,000 miles per the award chart).
