The last we saw a bonus this high was at the height of Covid if memory serves correctly. This promo is available for 1 week until 30th September (US). As usual, the bonus is tiered and targetted.

Despite all the issues with LM, there are some great bargains to be had if you have planned travel with availability on the platform.

I’m still burning through my balance before I consider buying any more. I wouldn’t speculatively buy Lifemiles even with a 200% bonus.

Well the AUD is a bit higher on the USD than more recently.

To get the 200% bonus, you need to purchase at least 41K Avianca miles at a cost of US$1,353.

So, 123K at a cost of nearly AU$2000 or 1.63¢per mile.

Of course, you can get 600K for AU$9,600 @ 1.6¢ per mile.

Yeah, i had a look at this… but the availability is shocking… *none* of the huge TK inventory IST-SYD is available, which is pretty much open on every star alliance website. While thai might be available close in, it certainly isn’t available in advance.

I can’t see LM being of much use into and out of australia? or pretty much anywhere else :(

Edited to add… just looking at BKK-SYD, the first availability in coach is 24 october… end of school holidays? Anyway, the economy price is now 33k one way! Pretty sure is used to be 22.5k, so a bit of a devaluation. Can’t check business as… well… there’s no availability!

Can see some business availability on BKK - SYD on 6th Nov, economy at 33,000 and business at 40,000....agree with you that the economy pricing definitely has changed, not sure if that is just one of the weird pricing anomalies

I got offered 200% but not touching this one as still have 300,000 miles to burn. Better TG J availability from Perth but not as much from Sydney or Melbourne.
