Dear Nicholas,

Thank your for your email.

Please be informed that, It is correct that 6 months validity after the return date is not necessary for travel to NZ.

Unfortunately your passport will be completely invalid for one of your given dates of travel, departure and return (15/11/2018). Therefore we cannot offer or book a flight for you.

Thank you for your understanding.

All 3 were NZ, granted my passport expires just before my 3rd requested date. My reply essentially said that they never specified passport should be valid for the period of travel.

I've requested to submit a revised 3rd date option.

Call indicates that my flight is to Christchurch on 23/8 which was one of my original dates and is within 6 months of my passport expiring.

Awaiting an email with a confirmed booking.

I got an offer for ADL-PER - but not on the date requested (April, 1st preference), they gave me July (which I requested for NZ as my 2nd preference), which was surprising, but I'm definitely not complaining. They put me on VA, which was surprisingly more expensive than JQ and even QF ...

Good luck to everyone else!

Well done! I resubmitted with O ltd domestic, let's see where it gets me.

Very happy with the result, got Christchurch which was my first choice destination (would have paid for an internal if I got Auckland).

I've now attached my confirmed booking to velocity, picked seats, and confirmed my gold status free bag.

According to virgin bookings someone paid $421.83 by MasterCard to get me on this flight.

Christchurch in August.... My Hutt here I come

Been a way a while since I posted and don't have much to add.

My flight timeline (passport valid past promotion date and 6 months)
29/3 Received offer.
30/3 Accepted offer.
6/4 Received confirmation.

This was for Hobart as I wanted.

My other half (passport not valid past promotion date and 6 months)
30/3 Received "Unfortunately, there was a problem with your application and it could not been processed...
Should you have any further questions concerning your application, please contact us via our contact form on www.flywithstoneleigh.com"
3/4 (First day after Easter public holiday's) replied on the website. Full response letter with request of where to send documentation.
radio silence
10/4 Sent same response with an opening paragraph to [email protected]
10/4 Bev at Stoneleigh sent a generic response which didn't address what was written to them, nor gave details of where to send valid (to them) documentation.
11/4 Emailed back stating they didn't answer my question, or responded in line with their email to me.

We'll wait to see what they say tonight, if they choose to reply.

Is your other half's passport valid for all travel dates? I've got an email from the promoters advising this is not a requirement. Happy to share if it assists your case

Hi,

Yes it is valid for some dates, the passport is valid until 22/9. The final time period nominated was 28/9.

My flight (the first date nominated and second location nominated was successful for flying 1st June).
