It was completely online, not sure what that comment was about?

The deed of guarantee. Physical form.

From the email:

Thank you for submitting your online application for Caltex StarCard. As part of our account requirements for companies we require a Deed of Guarantee Indemnity and Charge to be completed.

What you need to do
:
  1. Review, Sign and Return the attached Deed of Guarantee and Charge. If your company has more than one director, then you may arrange for up to two directors of your company to sign. Each director is required to sign in front of a witness. The witness will also need to sign and insert their name and the date.

Where to return the documents: Reply to this email attaching the documents, or alternatively fax to (02) 9250 5013. Please make sure you include your Application ID

I suspect maybe it doesn't apply to sole trader ABN holders?

That would be for company applications. I guess that the Director has to Guarantee by signing the form provided.

I signed up immediately. Late last night I was approved with a $5000 credit limit (far too much) and have just linked the account to my Business Rewards account. See you in ~90 days! :p

Same here. 5k abit much for me too!

I dont know if this is a good deal if they do a veda check and that can hurt credit score. Has anyone that has signed up have any activity on their credit file?

Yes I had activity on my Veda as a result of applying for this. Will be interested to see what sort of hit my score takes when the next one is issued in a couple of weeks.

bugger, i just got a star card but 1wk prior to 6th march when this offer started :(

Received my card today, guess I better use it at least once as that's where Storage King kicked up a fuss... when I rented storage spaces but didn't use them. Technically I was doing them a favour :p

Also received mine today, used it already :)

I pleaded to get the points as I applied on 10/02, they said too bad :(

I am considering keeping it after the points come in though. Their roadside assist service intrigues me, however I can't find any info online on whether or not they're actually good or not, over say, RACQ who is my current provider.

I say this with exactly zero evidence, but my guess would be it would still be RACQ who comes out to the vehicle.

That's what I was thinking, so it may just come down to cost.

It's a shame that their fuel isn't as cheap as 7 Eleven or they'd almost certainly have my business, but I live just up the road from a consistently low 7 Eleven and a United just opened up not much further down the road.

No mention of any fuel discount?

I got my first statement today and the 4c discount for Premium is applied on the statement. It isnt applied at Point of sale so I was wondering what would happen. No fee either, I was half expecting a 42- per car per month fee.

Can anyone confirm whether or not this showed up on their Veda profile? My battered Veda profile can't take another hit for the sake of 10k in points.
