Can anyone confirm that Australian passport holders don't require a visa for the Czech Republic?

It is over two decades since I was last in Europe, and I've never been to the Czech Republic (or its predecessors) before. I'm getting a bit of conflicting information online because the new Schengen visa arrangements have been delayed. Can anyone confirm that Australian passport holders don't require a visa for the Czech Republic for a short visit?

Less than 90 days, and you'll be fine.
(Everyone has their own version of "short visit"!)

Certainly not in my previous experience as the Czech Republic is part of the EU, no visas required, no stopping on the roads between other members of the EU.
Many thanks @Cossie - like I said it has been a long time since I was there and some of what I could find online conflicted.

LOL! If I'm there for 90 hours then the plans have gone wrong!

Just make sure that when you exit the Schengen area, that they find the matching entry stamp and stamp the exit.
They almost forgot to exit stamp my passport when leaving CPH the other day.

I don’t think i ever had proof I was in the Czech republic as I came in and left via EU. passport control was non existent, that was 2011, 14 years ago time gets away.

Specifically it’s the “Schengen zone” and 90 days visa free. I recently flew into Germany (stamped in), overland through Austria and Czechia, internal flight to Hungry and finally stamped out flying to the UK. Rinse and repeat a week later flying then to Spain and out again.

OK sounds like it is all pretty simple then.

Yep. Only gets complicated if visiting multiple times over 6 mths periods and those PP stamps in/out become very important. Note to cruisers, they often don’t stamp unless you ask.

The other thing is the EU ESTA thing that’s coming. Can’t recall the latest start date.

UK ETA started last month (a week after I was there last!)

Oh they are going ESTA too? UK ETA thingy is on my list of jobs for tomorrow

ESTIA is the EU version of the UK ETA, and will be along when it's good and ready.
First, they need to activate the EES (Entry/Exit System) - only then will ESTIA follow some 6 months later according to the bureaucratic schedule of the EU.
Currently EES doesn't have a start date, so even if by some miracle it started tomorrow, you'd still have until August before ESTIA kicks in. Plenty of time to read up on it/them!

Cheers! Has been many years since I've been to Europe, and after this trip will probably be many years before I have a need to go back!
