Can anyone recommend any decent and cheap motels in the Fresno area?

Got to stay 2 nights in Sept so any help would be great.

I've been trawling the comparator sites but many motels don't have reviews.

I have no direct experience with this, but I have a California-based company organising a personalised tour for myself and family next year. In short, we travel from San Fran through Yosemite, and out the back to the canyonlands.

He has recommended staying at the Piccadilly Inn Shaw in Fresno on the basis of it being a handy area to shops, a safe part of town, and "nice, without being fancy".

He's quoted me $94 per night for a room with a King-sized bed.

I have stayed at the Piccadilly Shaw property and it was recommended by Fresno folks.it is really close to the airport but we weren't worried by noise.
If the price is ok I would stay there again.
