QF and EK have a codeshare agreement by which QF sells seats on EK flights using a QF flight number
(specifically for SYD DXB LHR). However I can’t see this reciprocated on the EK website. All the flights via DXB are EK flight numbers only. Is this correct because IMO that’s only half a partnership/ codeshare agreement.

I think you'll find you can only grab a QF codeshare on the itinerary if it includes QF flights. If your trip is SYD>DXB>LHR there will be no QF metal flights as Qantas no longer flies through Dubai.

If the itinerary was SYD>SIN>DXB>LHR, with the SYD>SIN legs on QF, I think you'd be able to get on the QF codeshares.

Even if a QF codeshare is available, I've had difficulty getting it to ticket as such via Emirates or Qantas. Try ITA Matrix, which I've always had success with.
