Can I change name on a classic reward flight?

Succesfully changed a name on an international classic flight reward a few times in the past 3 month. Needs to be a QF ticket, flight number and operated. Was pretty straight forward when dealing with AU call centre, don't bother with the offshore ones.
What is the number for the AU call centre? I keep getting people and I cannot understand them.

Hi, re a domestic QF Rewards flight, I just did a complete name change and this was my experience, it was relatively easy. (Couldn't do the name change online myself, so had to call Qantas though). It seemed to be a fairly simple process, it cost me 5000 reward points to change the name. Also, I had to put my husband on the phone to talk to them briefly (as he was the original passenger, they just needed to confirm that he was happy to have his name removed from the ticket). So it would have been a pain if I had called them when he was not at home. So yeah, just confirming you can definitely do this for a domestic QF flight reward booking, (up to 24 hours before the flight I believe).

Can't happen on other airlines flights. Need a completely new booking. Zero ways around it.

Yep we got stung by this unfortunately. We had Qsuites booked to LHR on a CR codeshare with Qantas, and EK F as well home (also CR). My wife got a new passport with her married name on it, and had to get another one issued instead in her maiden name before we left.. Then switch back when we got back 🥴. All good in the end but a learning experience!
