Can I visit Qantas Domestic lounge instead of International lounge?

the coffee in NZ isn't to your liking either?

The NZ coffee could be great but we are out long before coffee shops and roadside huts are open. NZ seems to have great mobile coverage, but out hiking, instant coffee is as good as it gets at 5am.

Not a MEL departures guy, but usually arrive INT. Could I use the DOM J lounge as "access on arrival", if I could be bothered?

Naturally, the last part of your question is the kicker, but according to "the fine print", you'll be OK.

"Arrivals: Platinum and Platinum One Qantas Frequent Flyer members may access Qantas Domestic Business or Qantas Club lounges upon arrival, if you have travelled that day on any flight with a Qantas (QF), Jetstar (JQ, 3K or GK), Emirates (EK), China Eastern (MU) or a oneworld member airline marketed and operated flight number on your ticket."

Thanks, so it's not specific to DOM of INT travel. But at the moment with the works going on at security in MEL DOM, it would be too much hassle for me with the old style scanners.

Yes I've used the T1 lounge after a JQ international flight on a domestic sector

I have done this several times over the last 18 months after various arrivals on QFi, MH & CX.

Note that T1 at MEL now uses the newer scanners - way up the most Northern end of the terminal.

Good news for me. No more personal scans!
