Well they are called Lifetime Status Credits afterall.

Besides, when better to start your lifetime collection than at the start of your life???

Instead of like me at 25yrs old or so which has put me back a fair bit..... I only wish that I had loving parents like my kids do
I am not sure we realised that we were giving our kids a benefit when we joined them - just that we wanted to travel and we wanted them with us, so it made sense. As it is the youngest Miss FM should go lifetime silver next year and Dr FM is sitting on 5,000 credits - master FM was the first to get status, but he only has 4,500 at the moment as he doesn't travel much. However they are all still under 25, so it is a good start :) Of course for it all to mean something Qantas has to remain an airline that they want to fly!
