Can someone 6ft2in tall fit in the SQ business class bed?

First world problems 101. I'm concerned about not fitting in the SQ J class seat/bed. I've got a series of flights coming up; BNE - SIN - SFO then LAX - NRT - SIN - SYD so will be on different metal.

Can someone experienced advise if sleep is easy for the taller person? And is it worth it/possible to wrangle the coveted front row? (I assume not without status, which I don't have - this was all paid with points).

I am 6'3 and have slept on 350 numerous times (long haul and regional) and the 787 no problem. I have not flown the 380 in J.

You should sleep fine if you are not too sensitive but if you prefer to sleep on one side or the other, on the 380 and long haul 350 left hand side sleeping is easier in A and F and right hand side sleeping in D and K.

Bulkheads are definitely worth trying to get but are blocked for PPS members until 48/96 hours before the flight. Log on and try your luck in advance of each flight.

I am around the 188cm mark. I have been in a variety of the SQ J seats and find that the narrowness around the shoulders and the angle of my feet into the footwell are my biggest gripes. I am a side sleeper so I can contort enough to fit lengthwise but I find my feet touching the end of the footwell. Ease of sleep seems to vary with the amount of booze consumed

I'm 186cm and I've flown SQ long-haul on the A350 and B777 multiple times in recent memory. I actually find it not all that comfortable, having to be slightly angled across the surface and the surface itself being harder than it should, to the point I would choose many other airlines in preference. But of course it's easy to accrue KrisFlyer in Australia, and the SQ award space is much better than competitors.

I did once get a bulkhead, but basically it was not a high-demand route (SIN-DUS in 2017) and I grabbed it as soon as check-in opened. The bulkhead is better if you can get it.

In any event, the F&B, IFE and soft product are pretty good on SQ, and it's way way better than economy on any airline.

My husband is 6'2" and fits no worries at all. We haven't flown in the A380, but have been in all the other varieties I think.

Staying in Imperial measures, I am 6'3" and found the bed set up pretty uncomfortable. But I am also big around the belly so not extra good at bending. To be honest I can rarely sleep on long hail flights so I do not fully lie down much but prefer to sit partly reclined. The lack of legroom directly in front of you in these seats is a big problem for me.

The MH throne seats in J have cubby holes so narrow it is impossible to bend knees when legs are in the tunnel

I’m 6ft 4 and flew both regional and long haul SQ A350 J configurations last year (2 months, 2 kids, 2 continents (technically)). In both cases I was in the rear bulkhead row (19A) which I believe has fractionally more room than the “standard” J seats. (The front bulkhead was not available to us to select, but I was able to select row 19 and have no status with SQ; not sure if it is still the case that this row is available to all).

Basically attempting to lay flat on my back I could *just* fit. That’s with my head pressed against the back of the seat and feet up against the wall. I slept fine, albeit on my side with a slight bend of the knees. I think at 6ft 2 you’ll be fine too.

I'm 182 cm and I find the SQ (+ LX, LH) seats difficult. I like to sleep on my front which is difficult - side foetal is fine. QR and JL were much better for me personally.

Just returned from Europe. 4 separate SQ flights in J. BNE-SIN (A350 regional), SIN-FRA (A350-900), FRA-SIN (A380), SIN-BNE(A350 regional). A350 regional was not comfortable, felt cramped, and not a lot of room. A380 was a disappointment also. Old seats and not comfortable for a 14 hour flight. Favourite by far was the A350-900 leg SIN-FRA. More room, more comfort, great crew, Overall we were disappointed with our SQ experience and will probably return to One World metal for future European flights.

great summary, not great news appreciate the bad news.
not a lot of options to get to USA for Velocity Point farmers. Frustrating to say the least, given how good my experiences were with VA's own 777 J class service. What I wouldn't do for the old days to come back!

Pretty much mirrors our experience on our Germany trip in August/September last year.

Yeah I’ve done a few trips on SQ ex ADL and BNE and unless I can score award flights I doubt I will fly them again. I wouldn’t pay for it as I’ve been pretty underwhelmed by their service and I’m not tall but the J seats were cramped and horrible. I actually got more sleep with the seat reclined than I did with the bed made up

seats in Bus fine - admittedly some better than
others.
However when I feel short changed or critical I take a wander down the back and suddenly J seats take on regenerated appeal.
I also try to remember the excitement of the first time in J and to quote Julie Andrews "...and then
I don't feel so bad"
