What are Velocitys stopover rules? If someone booked, say, ATL-JFK-LHR on Delta and VS could they have a week stopover in JFK all on a one-way award ticket?

Could you book SYD-LAX(stopover)-JFK(stopover)-LHR as a oneway award ticket?

From memory people have booked free stopovers in AUH on Etihad award seats from Australia to Europe.

According to virginaustralia.com/au/en/plan/fare-types/velocityrewardseat/#international-and-partner-airlines

Stopovers: Not permitted

I'm perhaps missing the point between ATL-JFK-LHR and SYD-LAX-JFK-LHR. But would SYD-LHR as a one way award via LAX and JFK be a valid routing. Surely SYD-LHR would be forced to go via AUH.

You should be able to book SYD-LAX, LAX-JFK, JFK-LHR

Just looking at this myself. So it isn't possible to book something like MEL-LAX-JFK//JFK-LAX//LAX-MEL all as one itinerary for 250,000 miles in business class?
