Hey guys,

Sorry this might've been queried already.

I have a international trip booked via the business rewards portal:
Outbound on Jetstar on the economy tier ticket
Inbound on Qantas on the back way in economy (with a leg on Vietnam airlines in Saver, Qantas in Eco S)

Now I must not worn my goggles whlist booking - picked the wrong month for the return!

Two friendly Qantas customer service reps have given me confliciting information.
1st Qantas Rep: I can cancel the second leg after I've flown the Jetstar outbound, minus fees etc but I MUST fly on the outbound Jetstar.
2nd Qantas rep: I cannot cancel the second leg EVEN after flying the Jetstar Outbound since this ticket will follow the ticket rules of the Jetstar flight.

Found the following term which supports the second rep although i've spoken to another rep who has said i can still cancel for a refund. So confused!
Cancel for a Refund
Permitted before and after departure of the first flight in your booking.
  • A cancellation fee of $200 AUD per person applies.
  • If this fare is combined with another fare the most restrictive refund conditions apply for the booking.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks,

It seems few have experienced such a thing.

What we're the terms of the Jetstar segment?
Hey Serfty

The Jetstar is a starter fare, I believe only the Max fares give the flexibility to cancel for a refund.

Starter is NO refund. I've decide to cancel the trip and bank it as travel funds, not ideal but I don't want to risk it.

Thanks for replying :)
